President Barack Obama accepted the Nobel Peace Prize today with “great humility,” he said. Obama said he has not accomplished enough to earn the award and that others are more deserving of the honor. He also acknowledged that he receives this award during a difficult time as more U.S. troops prepare to go to war. Obama recently ordered 30,000 more troops to be sent to fight in Afghanistan. While accepting the Nobel Peace Prize, Obama spoke about why more troops are necessary at war and also quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, who at age 35 received the same honor in 1964. King is the youngest man to ever be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
